Armenia has sent humanitarian aid to Turkey on Saturday morning, Armenian foreign ministry press secretary Vahan Hunanyan informed on Twitter.
“Trucks with humanitarian aid have crossed the Margara bridge on the border and are on their way to the earthquake-stricken region,” Hunanyan added.
The closed Armenia-Turkey land border was crossed by a truck via the Margara bridge for the last time in 1993.
To note, the Armenian government has sent rescuers as well to quake-ravaged Turkey and Syria.
