SRC: More and More Azerbaijanis Believe in Peace With Armenia

According to the results of the latest public opinion survey conducted in November this year, in Azerbaijan, 78.5% of respondents support a peace treaty with Armenia, 20.2% do not support a peace treaty, and 1.3% found it difficult to answer.

Support for signing a peace treaty was expressed by 74.1% of people with secondary education and 86.9% of people with higher education.

In response to the question, “Do you believe that a peace treaty will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the near future and diplomatic relations will be established?” 37.2% said they fully believe in it, and 29.7% said they generally believe. 9.7% of respondents stated that they mostly do not believe, and 21.5% stated that they do not believe at all. 1.8% found it difficult to answer.

Among the respondents, 42.8% of men and 31.6% of women stated that they fully believe in the signing of a peace agreement in the near future, with 27.3% and 32.1% stating that they generally believe.

The survey was conducted from November 25 to 28, 2023, among 390 respondents over 18 years old. It covered 12 economic regions, excluding the Nakhchivan and East Zangezur economic regions.
