Azerbaijan’s Anama Shares Updates on Weekly De-mining Actions on Liberated Lands

National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has launched weekly information on landmine clearance actions on the nation’s liberated lands, Trend stories citing the company.

According to the ANAMA, 11 anti-personnel landmines, 37 anti-tank mines, and 328 unexploded ordnances had been discovered and defused in Tartar, Aghdam, Khojavand, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Lacin, Jabrayil, and Zangilan, as a part of the de-mining course of from March 6 by way of March 11, 2023.

A complete space of 754 hectares was cleared of mines and unexploded ordnances, ANAMA added. Following the liberation of its lands from Armenian occupation within the second Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan from Nov. 2020 began finishing up operations on clearing its lands of mines, booby traps, and varied weapons left behind by the Armenian troops.
